2 What’s the current situation?
This is about describing the current situation in terms of the people, process and/or services – providing more specifics.
If you are focusing on a change that has already been identified, or even imposed on you, then use this opportunity to tease out:
1. What are the problems that this change could address (again – if there are no problems that this project will fix, and no improvements to be achieved by doing it, you have to wonder if it is a good use of time and resources.)
2. What problems might get in the way of actually implementing the project successfully.
Using the sheet you downloaded in the last section, paint of picture of the issues in the current situation. Provide a summary set of facts on your A3 in the section titled: “Current situation/conditions”.
